Frequent Utis and pain before and after wee.

Hi everyone,

Such a cheery subject. Does anyone else get this, and does anyone understand why samples don't show infection when you can be passing blood and it does respond to antibiotics?

Hello, I’m suffering with really bad urine/bladder/kidney infections literally all the time and my doctors have even started prescribing antibiotics even if nothing shows as I have all the symptoms!! Finally I went to my GP on Thursday I think it was who has finally agreed with me that I need to he referred on to someone to look in to why I’m getting so many infections x

Look up interstitial cystitis, don't be fooled its not cystitis but chronic inflammation of the inner lining of the bladder. If you do have its why your urine samples come back clear and antibiotics do not work.

I used to get all the symptoms of UTIs before - sometimes antibiotics would help a little but not always, and even then the symptoms always returned quickly. Samples would show that there was something not quite right, but not an infection either. It turned out I had endometriosis on my ureter and that was causing it. You should look up the symptoms of that and see if they match yours, but it does sound similar x

Mine was discovered during a lap so it was burned off at that point. Still waiting on a follow up to see if he recommends anything different in future though if it comes back x
