I had a abdominal TAH and BSO I ended up having endo and adeno. I'm now really wishing I had gone to a specialist because I think I may have rectovaginal endo. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi KnickKnack. I had a LVAH at BSO and that's when they discovered I had Stage 4 endo and adeno. I had to push for a follow up in clinic and asked to be referred to the BSGE centre. This appointment has now come through. Please ask for a referral to your local BSGE centre. Check out Lindle's very comprehensive posts on this subject. She is very knowledgable and informative about this. Do not be fobbed off! Best wishes for recovery xxx

Hi I've had excision for severe recto vaginal endo by specialist and Hysterectomy. My pain and fatigue is worse. Have you had an MRI, that gave good view of RV endo in my case.

I too had TAH and BSO in Feb 2015 then further lap to remove endo and adhesions. And still it's growing back. Neither of these done in BSGE clinic so now got myself referred and have appt next week. Hoping they can help.

In my experience no scan (ultrasound, CT or MRI) show endo so just wasted time for me. But if they offer don't say no.

Not what you're looking for?
