My classic thigh pain is back!!! In my legs and thighs. It’s not gone away :(

Just feeling frustrated.

This could be stress related as it’s the first day in my own in the house since surgery, feeling anxious etc and I get panicy so it could be that

Just feel surgery was a waste of time on some level

Hi Kate,

sorry to hear. Bless you. Try and relax as much as you can and be very patient. I know it’s hard.

If it can be of any help I had the same thigh pain back and more after whole the anaesthetic wore off.. thigh pain came back but now after like 6 weeks is getting better. So I hope it will get even better when more time has passed. Hopefully the same will be for you and your pains.

I felt discouraged myself on many occasions but think that it’s only been a week and our bodies and internal wounds can take weeks and weeks to heal completely after the operation. After all they did operate on those sites xx

It could be part of the healing process of the nerves and everything that is true.. had someone rummage around in there for a good few hours lazering and removing everything and upsetting everything

Your right!

I think after complete recovery I’ll make a better judgement for sure.. just was like OMG those leg pains again

You will be fine soon, you'll see. But because your operation was quite extensive I guess it will take slightly longer. I would give it another month or even longer and see how you feel by then. But I'm on week 7 from Laparoscopy now and feel much better at last! Still have the occasional thigh pain though x

Ahh no :(

I had my symptoms re-occur so I contacted my specialist as I felt the lap hadn't done anything. He said our bodies cant distinguish between endo pain and removal of endo pain as they're in the same areas so can cause the same symptoms. We therefore associate it with endo and think "ahhh it's not changed!". Give it time, hopefully once the op pain inside has gone and your body has fully healed you should feel better - it can take a few months as the lap is quite invasive.

Hey , do you take any medication for leg pain? I’m on amitriptyline for leg pain when I was in hospital for my lap couple weeks ago they never gave me amitriptyline and my pain came back after two days without it I sent my Mum to get my tablets from the house I took hem while I was in hospital and a few hours after takin it my leg pain was gone ! I swear by it but it can be addictive that the only downfall it’s all that help my leg pain... I have jus been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and hemorragic cyts and bowel is attached to my left ovary I was getting every symptom for endo so wasn’t surprised when they told me I had endo I was jus shocked how bad it was .. I’m on a lot of tablets every day which isn’t the best but the only way I get through the day , hope your recovering well xx
