In constant agony

Currently sat here on the sofa crying my eyes out whilst curled up in a ball. I can’t take the pain any more. My gynae said if I can’t take it then to go to A&E as she can’t fit me in any earlier than end of April. Trouble is I’ve already been, and they just make me wait for about three hours, I finally get seen, pumped full of medication which makes me sick, see the surgical team and gynae about two hours later who say they can’t do anything because I have an appointment and I get sent away. I’m so annoyed by how they just fob me off and expect that I’ll just be okay with waiting!

I’ve tried going to a different hospital and they just tell me that I have to go back to the other one because that’s where my appointments are. It’s ridiculous and upsets me so much!

sorry to hear you feel so awful; what have you tried today to manage the pain so far?

I’ve had ibuprofen, paracetamol, the strongest pain meds they can prescribe me without me getting sick, I’ve had a hot bath, hot water bottle..I just can’t get rid of it. This is some of the worst pain I’ve ever had

Hey, have they tried you on an anti-sickness tablet? I have to have them because Between medication and other health conditions I’m always feeling so sick! I’m on cyclizine at the moment and they work a treat for me. Have they done any scans at the gynie when you have been seen through a&e? I completely understand how frustrating it is because I was there last Monday! If you already have a gynie they say they don’t want to mess with another drs patient, it’s ridiculous! Hope things start to look up for you and you pain eases quickly xxxxxxx

They’ve tried me on cyclizine which didn’t help me, I had some sort of reaction to it. I was tried on odanestron 8mg but they refused to prescribe it to me because it was so strong. They’ve done scans before but lost of the time when I get took in it’s in the middle of the night and there’s no one around to do the scans. The last time I had a scan was probably about a year ago. They’re just saying it’s not needed which is annoying. Thank you, it just sucks when you’re alone for 14 hours of the day and can’t really do anything xxxxxx

have you tried metocloperamide? It’s the only one I personally get on with Xx

They can and should offer to do a scan the next day, because they can send you home and phone you with your appointment time, for the very next day! They phone you at like 10am telling you what time in the day your appointment is for your scan! I can’t believe there not offering you that! Bless you Hun, it’s horrible being on your own, you need good films, nice ice cream, and a hot water bottle xxxxxxxx

I always ask about the scans and they say that because they know it’s endo that they don’t need to scan or anything - it’s so annoying! I’ve spent the last couple of hours watching random films whilst curled up in a ball xxxxxxxx
