Constant crying / anxiety

Hi all!

Sorry but this post is going to be a bit much for some people!!!! Just FYI!

So I'm still waiting for my referral date to come through for gynae But these past couple of days have been weird as hell!

The last few days my anxiety is through the roof because work have been allowing me to work from home however I feel UNBELIEVABLY guilty that I am doing so and my thoughts and depression have been spirally because of it constantly thinking that people hate me and see me as lazy and incompetent.

Today I just feel like I'm getting back on track as I went to the gym last night and felt so positive mentally afterwards it was lovely.

Then, the last couple of hours, ***TRIGGER WARNING AND EMBARRASSING CONTENT AHEAD*** I have been a bit turned on (I'm due on in the next few days so this is normal for me) but the sharp shooting pain that has come with it in my right ovary has been so bad I just hysterically burst into tears!!!

And now my whole body is on edge and I can feel the pain there still and every so often I end up bursting into tears.

Is this normal???? I feel so confused and tired!

Has anyone else had this?!?!?!

Hi

Your hormones are more likely causing your symptoms if due on and is normal, well normal isn’t the right word but more a sort of explanation. Don’t feel guilty for working at home, it was a good choice.

If the pain is worse than normal might be worth getting checked in case you’ve got a cyst on your ovary.

Tired is normal as well.

Bloody hormones eh?! Sounds like some crazy hormonal things that I've been through recently too. You're not alone! I've started high dose omega 3 and evening primrose oil and feel slightly more balanced this month. Last month at ovulation I thought I was loosing the plot! X

How much dosage are you having? As I have been having omega 3 tablets but wanna make sure I'm having enough.

Bloody ridiculous aren't they! Hate it !

I'm taking one 1000mg. You can take 2 of them which I might start. Also 1500mg EPO. Yeah the hormones are a joke!

Hormones make you crackers! I'm all over the place. Exercise is like a balm. It takes the manic fire away for me. I cry all the time - you are not alone. HRT helped me until it caused problems. Good luck x

I have been trying to make sure I workout a lot otherwise my mental health will just spiral! So I feel you there! And I can only imagine what you have gone through with HRT I'm dreading that! X

As before hormones. Get a scan to check if it’s a cyst or pelvic inflammation first off and look after yourself. If you get an infection it can be pretty grim and hurt like nobody’s business. Endo can cause this kind of disturbance so it should be considered as an option but general gynaecology is not the place for that , it’s a specialism of its own and often missed by general gynaecology depts.

If it carries on monthly and seems to be ‘ a bit of a thing ‘ ….Ensuring your body can handle the rhythm of your cycle with or without endo can be really helpful. That’s often helped with lifestyle and diet reboot - @leah-brueg is pretty cool place to get info on that one. If your using any kind of hormone based contraception that can push up the progesterone levels at this point and turns often the most level of us into weepy dramatics. Endo tissue, if it is that, produces its own hormones including cortisol etc which can also add to the stress and general sense of confusion.
