Endo fatigue

Hello.

I’m a long term sufferer of endometriosis (about 25 years) and have always suffered from fatigue but no one, including myself has ever linked them together? I’ve only very recently discovered that this could be linked and a real thing but wondered if anyone else felt knackered pretty much 95% if the time? I’m having some surgery next week and they’re going to fit a coil which will hopefully help? Does anyone else feel like this and has anyone come through the other side? I need some hope x

Fatigue is one of my worst symptoms, it’s very difficult to manage. I find that endo diet helps, and omega 3 to reduce inflammation xxx

Fatigue is up there with one of my worst symptoms. I actually found out that fatigue is a symptom from a friend with endo not the doctor! I don't plan any social stuff for evenings because I know I'll be too tired. It is ruining me. I'm 37 and feel like 67. Berrocca work for an hour or so, I take one to get me through the late afternoon slot!

It was my worst symptom along with bladder issues when I was first diagnosed with severe endo 18 months ago after having unrecognised symptoms for decades.

Its worth getting bloods for other possibilities ie iron, vit d, vit b12, magnesium and zinc deficiencies and to rule out thyroid. I had vit d deficiency.

Mine didn't improve, but worsened post surgery (probably due to contracting viral meningitis 4 days postop) It is hard to manage and the standard treatment is graded exercise, pacing or spoon theory along with pregabalin or gabapentin and cbt.

I have had to adjust my lifestyle a lot and have been going through an grieving /acceptance process.

I eat super healthy (gf, df, veggie) , take vit d, b12, flaxseed for omega 3, echinacea and an immune boosting Probiotic.

I've gone half days at work and am struggling to manage even that atm.

I'm still only 7 1/2 months post op. Hopefully I will improve gradually over time.

I totally sympathize and agree with the other ladies' replies on here. I was almost sleeping around the clock after surgery a few months ago, then by chance I saw a locum Consultant who checked my vitamin d levels which were very low. Since taking these my tiredness has definitely improved. I also take feroglobin b12 too.

I do hope things improve for you & hope this helps x
