What To Take To The Hospital With Me??

I’m going in to hospital for a Laparoscopy.. What should I take with me to the hospital ?

It tends to tell you on your letter but the normal stuff to take are slippers and dressing gown, they tell you not to bring in mobile phones etc in case they get lost or stolen but I think everyone takes a mobile with them I take mine to play games on while waiting and pads in case you pass blood.

Take a pillow for the journey home to stop your seat belt digging in. X

Take slippers, comfy pjs in-case you need to stay the night, Peppermint tea / peppermint capsules to relieve the trapped gas, comfy clothes / joggers to go home in, pads for if you have spotting, sweets / feel good food for when you can eat after, tablet / mobile for while you're waiting (usually there's a lockable cabinet, my nurse looked after the key while I was in my op), baby wipes / wet wipes for after incase you want to freshen up.

Just make sure you wee before you head home after!!

You can get more of the little plasters the put on the op sites - look up mepore on amazon. Pepermint capsules from health shops.

Differently taking a teddy with me

Hey I’m having my lap tomorrow 28th and I’m taking pads, underwear,pjs incass I stay the night and joggers, dressing gown and slippers, fluffy socks, some nibbles and a big bottle of water as hate tap water they will give after surgery, glasses case, a book, make sure to take all your meds your on, earphones for music, deodorant and face wipes, face cream and chapstick. Also a pillow for the car home. Might have overpacked but I like to have all my comforting things with me xx
