Ecography Doctor cannot see my ovaries

Hi All

need your help. went to the Doctor and after an eco the doctor said that he cannot see my ovaries. he further said if there were any cyst he would have seen. So I was very concerned about how he could see cysts but not the ovaries.

He proposed a MRI and I am really scared of the outcome. Has anyone of you ever experience this situation. Please help

eco? I've heard of ultrasound for uterus etc including ovaries, an echo scan does the heart. Is it short for something else? on my ultrasound they could only see my ovaries when they did a trans-vaginal ultrasound scan as a normal scan didn't see them due to the bladder being in the way.

You'll have ovaries as you have cycles so not to worry about that, sometimes the human body moves stuff around a little, it could be that they're behind the uterus and therefore it's in the way.

Hi I had the same thing said to me while they were doing a normal scan, they adviced a3d scan after that and found some fibroids, but don’t be scared sometimes they just hide and they’ll see them with better equipment. Hope this helps
