Hi I am looking for some advice. Almost 2 years ago I had surgery to remove stage 2 endo from my ovaries, womb and deep within my pelvic wall. I felt much better almost immediately. My consultant suggested a full hysterectomy however she to starting a new job didn't go through. I'm now in continual pain again. I'm also finding that I am so k most mornings. Iv never had the sickness b4 and wondering if anyone else has had this. And can the pains come back. Thanks

Endometriosis can come back im sorry to say.

I was offered to have the endo removed but was told that even if it was all removed it would give me 5 years max before it builds vack up again...and that was if i was REALLY LUCKY. The way it had built up made my consultant believe it may be dramatically less.

Endo is being researched and it is now believed to be genetic. I was told that it is where the actual cells mutate. This mutation is fed by estrogen but not caused by it as far as they have discovered.

I had a full hysterectomy and oopherectomy. After surgery i was not placed on hormonal therapy untill over a month to 2 months. This was so that if any spec of endo remained elsewhere it would have no estrogen to feed off and as a result would starve itself to death.

I was then placed on hrt estrogen only due to my young age and the need for the hormone for healthy muscles and bones. My consultant didnt want me on the combined unless absolutely necessary due to the side effects.

I have been fine since...its been over a year and my quality of life has become what other's would term as "normal" (although i dont like that term....😐)

There was many medical and family history reasons why i opted for this decision. Although it was the best thing for me...it doesnt mean its the best for others.

Go back and see your consultant. Ask more questions. Ask for options. Never be afraid to ask.

Keep strong and let us all know how you get on.
