c125 Blood test?

I was just curious, have you ladies all had a c125 blood test on the road to diagnoses? Just wanted to know if it was a standard blood test they do if they think you have endometriosis as so many of you have had it? I wasn’t offered it but I would like!

Hi. I put a similar question up last night. Not for me for my sister. Seems like it is due to endo. Done research online also. I have never been tested for that myself but I do have endo x

I don't think you are tested for it if you are looking for endo, it's a bit of a false flag because it can be elevated because you are on your period when you take the blood test, due to cancer and endo and some people just have elevated levels.

It won't prove you have it either way, so they don't do it as standard. A lot of us have had one due to it crossing over with other symptoms, due to bloating and other problems, if you are over 30 they then put in a CA125 to check that, but it's not used as a diagnostic tool.

When mine were elevated I had to have a scan to rule out anything nasty, and then on the scan they found an endo cyst, but that's not the 'normal' process of diagnosing endo.

If you have endometriosis they usually add this test. If the result is elevated they do a scan to see what's going on. I would say it's a routine test prior to establishing your diagnosis. Hope all is well .
