Phone in hospital

Hi everyone,

I’ve just had my pre op for lap on Monday.

Advice sheet says don’t bring any valuables. I guess this means mobile phones.

What did you all do with yours? I’d rather take it to keep intouch with family and friends but don’t obviously want to lose it or it go missing.

Any advice would be great!

I always took my phone with me, It's just cover the hospitals back if it was to get lost or stolen.

I’ve had 2 laporoscopys. I took my phone on both occasions as you will often be loved somewhere else and I needed it to contact my husband to let him know where I was and could pick me up. They will look after your bag for u.

If you’re on your own, the nurses can probably store it, they took mine when I went down for ultrasounds and tests when I was admitted, but you have to accept it’s not their fault if it goes missing, x

I brought mine and some of the ladies i was waiting with did too - glad i did as i was last (went down for lap about 3pm after getting there at 7am) and i could update my partner and family. But you could easily not take one, i didnt use it much. After the lap they call someone for you to pick you up etc x

Forgot to say we put our stuff in lockers right before our lap. Afterwards, the nurse took my key and got my bag out for me. The bag had my phone, clothes to go home in and a drink etc. But every hosp will be different

I took phone, tablet, lots of other stuff and its never gone missing. They do it to cover themselves just in case.
