So, my diagnostic laparoscopy is tomorrow. I’m more nervous about what they’re going to say when I come round! I think I’m nervous to know if they find anything but more if they don’t, then it’s back to square one!
Will try and post an update tomorrow!

I had the same fears as you. It’s completely normal to feel this way. Luckily some endo was found and removed during my first lap and it was a relief but also upsetting to know that I do in fact have it. Fortunately I am now on the upswing and my treatment is working so far.
Feel free to message me if you need someone to lean on during this. Good luck xx
Waiting for my lap now! Going down at 11, they seem to think because I’m young it’s probably more in my head and nothing to do with something gynae related 🙁
That's nonsense if they think that, since lots of women who have endo have probably had it since they were teenagers or even earlier - scientists has found endo cells in newborn babies!! Suggesting some people are actually born with it but it lies dormant until puberty. So you are certainly not too young however old you are.
Either way, whatever they find or don't find try not to worry too much. See it as the next step you have to go through on your health journey - it has to be done for you to know either way, then you will be able to move on to the next step of looking at other investigation and treatment also you are entitled to ask for a second opinion if you want. Good luck xx
Thank you very much! That makes me feel so much better. I’m 23, I’ve also seen people on here a lot younger than me on this forum that have it!
I am being treated by a general gynaecologist and they even suggested me not having the operation today since my pain has reduced slightly due to the depo but I’ve come this far and I want answers! Will try and post an update after my op! Thank you so much xx
I was sent away from one hospitalafter a year of scans and tests they told me nothing was wrong. (Visable lump on stomach. Pain during sex and bleeding after. Fatigue. Pelvic pain. Sciatic pain. Bowel issues. Shoulder pain) you name it i had a symptom. Went back my docs and got referred again to a diff hosp and they had me in for a lap within a month as we'e
Worried it was cancer as she managed to find something on ultrasound. Luckily no cancer but st the age of 22 I lost my right ovary and tube and had severe endo found and had loads of cysts and a huge cysts removed. You know your own body so keep going back and back till you get answers x. Good luck x
I'm almost 30 now and just had my 4th lap last Monday where they found it on left ovary and tube. Bowel. Uterus. Right hand wall and my diaphragm. Good luck for surgery and let me know how you get on xx
Im 24 and got diagnosed 2 months ago. I was suffering since 11 but it gradually kept getting worse. I personally don't believe age has anything to do with endometriosis. Good luck.
Good luck for your surgery! I'm 23 too and my op is a week today. Let us know how you get on, Im really hoping they find something with mine too. Wishing you a speedy recovery x
On my way home now, endometriosis wasn’t found which is a good thing. I have however got a large vein on my right side which she told me was pelvic congestion syndrome. I also get a lot of pain on my right side.
The gas pain isn’t too bad and it wasn’t half as bad as I thought it would be. I have got a dry throat but that’s about it. have two cuts, one on my belly button and one on my left side.
