Had my op today.

So I went down to theatre for 12pm and didn't come around till 5pm another long surgery for me. Found endo on left ovary and tube. Right side under scar tissue (lost right ovary and tube on first lap) utetus. On bowel and on my diaphragm. We literally know our own bodies. I've been saying for months i thought it was on bowels and diaphragm and what do you know it is! I'm in absolute agony and waiting for some more pain meds coming round. I'm being kept in over night as ended up needing a catheter in coz couldn't pass urine and my bladder was so full they were worried as it had stretched. Xx

Sounds like you’ve had a rough old time and you are definitely right when you say we know our own bodies! I hope you will be home tomorrow and your recovery goes well!

Just because you have been through similar surgery before first make it any easier or less painful. Hope you are being looked after well hospital and when you get home. Allow yourself to properly recover. All the best. X

Yes we sure do know our own bodies, I drive my hubby crazy with how much I know.

Glad you've come out the other end with confirmed answers. Now rest up take it easy hope you've got family looking after you when you reach home. Do what you can to avoid constipation although you'll know that from previous surgery just thought I'd remind you as the pain is something else.

Being kept in another night. Surgeon came round today with photos and said he had a lot to remove and showed me everywhere and said he wants the catheter in another night and try take it out tomorrow . Kind of glad as I'm so much pain still so know I've got strong meds when o need them xx

Hi how did everything go? Iam booked in for one in 3 months I think they said I might have to stay in for ten hours after , you in a lot of pain? Xx

This is my 4th laparoscopy chick. In quite a bit of pain but I'm in the best place for being looked after. Good luck for yours xx

Yeah was first diagnosed 8 ish years ago with severe endo. Lost right ovary and tube and was riddled with chocolate cysts. Had a further 2 ops from that to remove more endo and then yesterday to remove more endo from places mentioned above. Xx

Yeah after my third lap I fell pregnant within 2 months as they flushed my left tube and ovary out. Plan is to try to conceive again this year xx

Being kept in again as can't wee . Managed one wee this morning after catheter came out but haven't been since and then just scanned bladder now it's full again so had to have it emptied again and need to be able to do 2 wees before I can go home! xx

Try turning around on the loo so you’re facing the system if you can manage, a lovely lady on here suggested that to me and it meant I could empty my bladder without straining, hope you get to go home soon Hun xx

I'll deffo try that next time for sure. I just feel relieved now I'm empty just hope I can manage to go again twice so I can go home. Xx

Yeah just still sore from it all. Surgeon brought me the pics from surgery round last night and I took pics of them all. So fascinating what endo looks like and how it affects us. Xx

What is endo? Is it to do with ovaries and your womb? X
