Hernia after lap....

Hi ladies , me again I posted a couple of days ago re pain around my belly button im nearly 8 weeks post lap and last night after work the pain was a lot worse and felt like it was burning, it’s a little red too so I automatically thought it was an infection . I went to the drs this morning expecting to be given some antibiotics and sent on my merry way but he and another dr think it’s a hernia so they’ve requested an urgent ultrasound for next week.

I suppose I’m posting for some reassurance and wondering if anyone’s had the same, I think it’l be a case of more surgery to fix it which I’m dreading!

Hey,

Although this hasn’t happened to me I’ve been through the ringer with having multiple surgeries in a short amount of time so I can sympathize with not wanting more surgery. I know it isn’t that uncommon to have a hernia after abdominal surgery. I hope it doesn’t end up being that for you!
