Mouth ulcers connected?

Hi, I’m new here, I had endo for over 12 years before it was diagnosed and I had many laparoscopy procedures and finally had a total hysterectomy age 36, which changed my life, it was so amazing to feel so well. I am now many years down the line (15) and have been on hrt for the last 2 years, I finally gave in and had to go on it as my energy levels were nil plus all the other side effects early menopause causes. Believe me it’s nothing compared to endometriosis so life has been great apart from my next question. I have had terrible mouth ulcers for the last 4 years, been to dentists, oral surgeons, gps and I suddenly thought this week, I wonder if it’s linked to the endo. At roughly the same tone I have suffered from crippling headaches which the gp calls tension headaches but I don’t think they are. If anyone can share their mouth ulcer treatment or who they have seen I would appreciate it so much, can’t eat so many things or drink anything sweet or sugary. I am at my wits end with it all. Thank you so much.

I get ulcers on my tongue, and canker sores on the insides of my lips against my teeth. Honestly, I think mine are just from being constantly run down. One of my main endo symptoms is extreme fatigue. Zinc is good for promoting healing (helps the ulcers heal faster), so I take it daily.

I've had this and no one believes me that the two are related! I think it's due to being so run down but mine have been evil since my pain got worse, and a lot more regular and I've ended up with steroid mouthwash to try and get rid of them!

I have also got the steroid mouthwash but it only keeps them at bay for a week max. I have seen homeopaths and naturopaths to try and be free of them so have taken all the extra vitamins possible. I wish someone could give us a solution, ie don’t eat this or that or something helpful that we could change ourselves to be free of them.

Thanks but I have tried all mixtures of herbs and vitamins to try and be free of them, I don’t feel run down but then again how can we measure run down? Lots of blood tests say all is fine but we know our own bodies. I’m hoping someone on this forum will wave a magic wand!

Personally I get both mouth ulcers and headaches when I’m tired and stressed, if endo is causing you tiredness and stressed then maybe it could be linked that way?

Hi I’m 50 years old and have had endometriosis since my teen years. I’ve also had catamenial pneumothoraxes with two lung surgeries to help correct it. The surgeon believes that endo can travel anywhere and believes it has invaded my thoracic cavity. Off and on for about 25 years now, I’ve had bleeding/peeling gums with little ulcers. I’m sure it’s related, but no doctor has any idea as to what it is. My new dentist seems to think that it’s pemphigus vulgaris. I have not gone to my regular doctor yet to have it biopsied, but I won’t choose the treatment for it. Prednisone is the main treatment. I’ve been on it before and it had devastating effects. I hope you all find treatments that work and the relief you are looking for.

Aloeclair is brilliant - it’s a aloe Vera mouthwash but it costs the tongue so on those flare ups it really helps relieve the pain- I get canker sores on my tongue the week of and before usually - makes talking difficult. But this mouthwash is the best thing I have found so far :)
