This is an odd question but I know a few have cut out gluten to ease endo 😮 I just ate a chocolate (I know I shouldnt have chocolate but xmas) that I think has barley in 😠I know its not a lot of gluten but has anyone ever had a bad reaction to having that little or is it more than likely not to have any reaction? 🤔

Gluten intolerance
I didn't think it was an intolerance if it's endo related, if that makes sense. Like if you have a bad reaction to a tiny bit it's more likely to be coeliac or gluten intolerant, but if it's just endo related I wouldn't have thought a tiny bit would make any difference, unless you hadn't ate any at all in like 8 years and then had some haha x
Hmm I get confused I thought an intolerance is related to endo because for example I've always been able to eat eggs but now I cant have a lot also women cut it out on the endo diet 😮 My gluten maybe a intolerance more because it did make me feel worse than any food does and when I was sick all I ate was that which I think damaged it 🤔 I understand what you I meaning I think people just have a different level of intolerance 😮 Update I bloated a lot but didnt get nausea I think I have a stronger tolerance to it now after I've made my stomach stronger but I still wouldnt trust a lot it gives me relief though 🤔X
Idk I think I was intolerant for my whole life and it was only picked up on when they said it might be endo and to cut it out and see, but since no endo was found idk what it could have been but I've felt heaps better since cutting it out even though I still have the odd nibble of a macdonalds and deal with the outcome haha
A lot of people have an intolerance to it because its slowly becoming harding for us to digest because of the stuff they put in it 😮 Update as well I've bloated to fit my pants that were too big for me and I have more painful stomach ache than usual ðŸ˜Just before christmas as well ðŸ˜
There is a emerging school of thought that the zonin in gluten causes the tight junctions in your gut to open up allowing foreign bodies / toxins etc into your body and triggering an immune response and inflammation and intolerances. It is associated with auto immune conditions for this reason I believe and endo is thought to be an auto immune disease

Gluten is also known to be inflammatory and although the specific cause is unclear this clinical trial (though not blind) lends weight to the view excluding it can be beneficial with 75% of Endo sufferers seeing reduced symptoms after 12 months.

I've been gf free since the start of October as part of a low fodmap, low acid diet. My reflux esophagitis is just now starting to improve, although stress has also played a big part in contributing to it.
Not knowingly, but it didn't ever give me that reaction, I'm not celiac or allergic to it. If you are allergic or celiac , get anaphalaxis and are having a full on allergy reaction then you should seek urgent medical help straight away and call 111.
As part of my acid reflux esophagitis I've experienced chest pain and it hurting to breathe but that wasn't directly gluten related.
Its different to an asthma attacks its was more back pain rib pain and stomach pain when I breathe it just feels like my stomachs heavy I cant take a deep breath I feel like I'm doing my asthma test again 😂
If you're still experiencing it and it's not improving and you are concerned then its safest to get medical advice.
My pain was on deep breaths but so far as I remember and could tell it was other things that triggered it like onion and garlic. It didn't usually go through to the ribs except once or twice at its very worst
I too have a gluten intolerance which I found out before I was diagnosed with Endo. When I eat it I get shortness of breath, by that I mean if I walk up the stairs I'm out of breath, not necessarily just sitting in the chair, as well as a bloated tummy which links to aggravating the Endo. You may also find you're now intolerant to dairy. 6 months before my diagnosis I was very ill with what I now know to be an Endo flare up. It turned out dairy was making it even worse. I now cannot eat gluten, dairy or red meat.
My consultant suggested I give up caffeine too and although my Endo is still bad (stage 4) I do believe when I sin with food, it makes it hugely worse.
Oh no 😮 I run out of breath walking up stairs anyway because of asthma 😠But I'm glad this is just a reaction to gluten yes it hurts to breath but I can breath just not as much as normal (if that makes sense) actually I dont have much dairy and the little bit of chocolate at night doesnt seem to upset me it tends to be gluten and big meals that make me feel so sore ðŸ˜
