Hi all, I'm curious to find out who has had hysterectomy (complete removal). I was diagnosed with endo at 23 (I'm 39 tomorrow). I've had several laparoscopies to laser endo, detach organs from one another etc, had zoladex, tried mirena coil (but my body rejected it and pushed it out). Nothing has worked for me.
I'll be honest, I haven't seen a doctor about it in years now as I was told that nothing else they can do for it, and felt like I just had to suffer in silence with it. I constantly feel rotten and run down, obviously in agony during periods, but, also bad at ovulation time, headaches, back pain, dizziness, shoulder pain, nausea/vomitting, bowel issues, exhaustion, anxiety, mood swings, reoccurring infections, list goes on. Basically, I don't know what being well feels like, so it's sometimes hard to gauge how unwell I am.
I had my miracle baby almost 4 years ago, after being told children may not be a possibility, then to conceive but to suffer a miscarriage. Conceived again years later and successful that time. Pregnancy was agony due to scar tissue being stretched etc. She was 2 months premature, and has recently had heart surgery for something she was born with and should have been picked up numerous times. So I've lost my faith in doctors. She is now aware that mammy is unwell a lot and that breaks my heart. So am contemplating a hysterectomy. Seeing a consultant end of January. Any advice? Anyone had it and better? Worse? Sick of feeling like this, planning life around when I'm due on, missing out, and my daughter seeing me unwell a lot. Also the lack of understanding and empathy off people who have no clue what you go through. I'm a single mother, work full time, and this damn endo makes a tough job even more challenging.
