Lap with a cold?

Hi ladies, I have my Lap on Monday which has already been put off a month by the hospital due to not being able to fit me in last time. I want to get it out of the way before Christmas to enjoy it with the kids but this morning I’ve woken up with a sore throat and abit stuffed up! Will they put it off again? Any tips to shift it before mon? 😩

I had a cold when i had mine it was just goin though so didnt bother saying anything.

Steam your head over bowl with towel

Over head try to clear it out. Also night nurse at night before u sleep, i find the more i sleep the better i get. Paracetamol through day. Other then that it will b what it will b, there really is not much u can do about it...

I wouldnt worry saying anything to them aless u have breathing problem ie u cant breath out of nose or ur chest it bad

I'm the same, I have my surgery Monday and I've been feeling headachey, bunged up and sore throat too. I'm not going to say anything to my surgeon. Think I may have some paracetamol before I go in to try clear it. Hope you feel better soon and your surgery goes well. Xx

It’s more in my head than my chest and no cough or temperature. I’m also on my period and got shooting pains up my bum and in my stomach and What feels like my left ovary. just feeling pretty poo and desperately wanting this lap to find out what’s wrong with me! X

Dont worry about the period ... they used to that. I had mine on my colonoscopy and my lap, they dont care... ur a women there a 50/50 chance it gona happen. Mine always seems to know when somethings coming up and il come on... it used to b embarrassing now im like “ oh whatever”!! There dr im sure they seen it all

I did prewarn them a couple of weeks ago that I would be bleeding but they didn’t know, just said come in on the day and ask the consultant if it matters! I really hope they will do it! X

They won’t mind your period. Be careful about your cold though... if you’re unwell it could cause complications with going under general, so don’t assume it will be fine if you really are unwell xx

I've had a cough for 5 weeks and a cold for 2 and my lap is less than a week away, was told to take nasal spray and ir would be fine but still not sure, let me know what they say!
