Hi guys so I'm new to all this here's my story.. it all started around 7 years ago I started having cramps when I needed to poop! Then one day me and my partner were doing the business and I honestly felt like I was having contractions I cried for hours my poor OH didn't know what to do I started bleeding the next day after a few days the cramps settled I went in for a doc appointment, he wasn't sure thought it was bowel related had to send samples off and have a colonoscopy- all clear! Got IBS diagnosis tried all treatments to no avail moved cities pain still happening! Periods went all to pot (still are now!) never know when I'm due a period constantly got pants and tampons/towels in my bag! When a period happens I'm in a ball on the floor! Same when I have sex! Nearly every time I stand up it feels like something is snapping inside I mentioned it to my gp and he just said "well has anything actually snapped inside you? I think not!" What? You're the bloody doc here I'm in agony on a daily basis and you're humiliating me by saying there's basically nothing wrong! I just lay there and cried in pain! Seen one gynaecologist he had me on and off the implant, different contraceptive pills even 3 month with no birth control and depo injection then mirena coil.. discharged me! Problems still happening so back to doc! Sent to another gynaecologist he orders me to have a smear.. comes back CIN3 had lletz all clear after that mirena removed put on combined pill had to stop because of migraines put on mini pill .. had all kinds of blood tests all clear now suspected endo.. asked if I'd like surgery or zoladex injections I tell him I'd rather not have surgery right now ( I had 20 mins to pick my kids up) 2 mins later I'm having a zoladex injection! Is this to prepare me for laparoscopy? I'm so confused I haven't a clue what has been done to me and at the min I feel ok but I don't know why I'm having treatment without diagnosis? Didn't have time to ask questions and to be honest the lady giving me it was pretty rude! And uninformative 😡 I'd like to know more about what's to come and if there's any way to diagnose without the surgery as I really can't afford time off work with 2 kids!

You sound like you’ve been on a rollercoaster! Laparoscopy is the only way to be sure if you have endo or not but if you get better with endo treatment like Zoladex it’s suggestive of endo. I’ve had 3 operations ( for other things) in the last 8 years and was really not up for another. I’ve been having injections since March but finally have my first laparoscopy in two weeks time. I’ve got to the point where the injections aren’t helping as much as they were and I just need to know! Like you I couldn’t take the combined pill because of migraines, the mini pill made me suicidal and there was no way they could ever fit the coil due to nerve damage pain. So injections should help them get nearer to a diagnosis and then when you’re ready you’ll need a lap. I’m sure you’ll get to the point that you want to have it but take your time. In the mean time, hope the injection helps. X

Thank so for your reply! I've had a nightmare of a time! I do want to have have the surgery as I need to know but at the minute with Christmas round the corner and 2 kids I really can't afford time off! It's been 3 days since my injection I do feel super moody but think that's just the fact I've been told I might have endo and I don't know for sure.. I hope your laparoscopy goes well and do report back let me know how things go! X
