getting a lap & the pill

Hi all. I have finally just had my consultation with gynacologist. I was very nervous as had a fear of being fobbed off but she was great and really listened. I explained to her that im a single parent of a 14 yr old & 10 yr old and have a job aswell as currently in 3rd of my uni degree all whilst battling horrendous pain and fatigue which is making life very tough!! so basically she reckons its endo and has confirmed she will give me a lap within next 3 months and until then ive to go on the pill and take it continuously so i dont get another period. Has anyone else been put on pill and told to take it continuously to stop periods? seems a simple quick option...too good to be true? the thought of no more periods or pain makes me wnt to cry with relief and do cartwheels. Dionne. aged 32. xx

I've been on the pill like that for a bit now I'm currently on my second period and its 10 times worse than when I was on the period normally I'm currently on my 3rd day off my placement because I've been struggling to move with pain and been close to fainting because of not having food in time 😮 Also personally it didnt help me with my daily fatigue back pain and adominal pain and nausea 😔 I would say though try it as it will work different for everyone it might really help with you 🤔

aww im sorry to hear that Abi. I am praying it helps.. my next period is due end of the month and i have 2 presentations to do at uni so i really need it to work. I'm sorry its not working for you though as i understand the pain you are in. Cant you just take the pill continuously so you dont have a period? Also are you on the list for a lap? x

Thank you 😮 It helps for some people it may really help for you and I pray it will 🤞🏻 I could probably continue taking it but they think I should try the coil 🤔 I have my op on tuesday I was quite lucky I got on it after a week I think there must be not many have lap's by me 😮 X

I took the pill continuously on a lot of different brands and still had a period every time, often I'd feel absolutely awful like my body desperately needed a period, and was eventually told to take it with a 4 day break. Even on Cerazette which is a no break pill, I still bleed, I think it's a lucky few who don't get periods at all when running them together x
