Ovarian Drilling for PCOS

Does anyone have any experience of ovarian drilling for treatment of PCOS? How successful is it? Do you feel any pain afterward the procedure? My consultant has suggested this procedure and said it only has a 50% chance of "fixing" my PCOS and if it doesn't help, he will put me on some sort of diabetic medication? I feel a bit clueless! More info required please!
