Coming off microgynon pre lap

I received a letter today with my pre op date and details of where to go.

On the back it said about stopping the combined pill 6 weeks before op.

My op is in 4 weeks. 15th November

I called and a lovely lady suggested I stop now.

So my question is... when will I bleed?

I was only 5 days into a new pack before stopping now.

What happened to you when you stopped the pill pre op? Will menstrual pains be like before I started taking the pill? 😬

I had to come off my combined pill before my operation which is on Tuesday I stopped the pill on the 18th of last month. I had a period like my usual bleed during my break from the pill and some spotting for a couple of weeks afterwards, as restarting the pill after the week break usually stops this.

My pains have this week started to get worse. I’m not sure if it’s just the build up to my first period with no pill in my system or if it’s just because I’ve stopped the pill. I was told by my doctor that when I come off the pill I will get worse. I don’t think this is what you will have wanted to hear, sorry. At least you will maybe know what to expect. I can’t say whether they are as bad as before taking the pill as I pretty much went on the pill as soon as I started my periods

I did suspect a bit more pain might come of it.

Il make sure I’m prepared for any unexpected moments too.
