endo fatigue!

Hiya,

i'm on day 3 of my period, the first period after my lap.

I am so tired, I have done nothing but sleep and take pain killers.

Everything is such an effort and it feels as if my body is very heavy. The smallest things are really taken it out of me. It is as if i have flu like symptoms but without the cold.

Just to raise my arms or walk to the toilet is really draining. It is as if my body is aching all over.

Has anyone else experience such serve fatigue like this?

Hi laura,

I am 5 weeks post lap. I am just 3 days into my first period since the lap.

I do normally have fatigue during the time of the month and just before but nothing like this.

I have not taken pain killers today to see if that would help with the fatigue but it has made no difference im just now in pain aswell.

It is literally an effort to lift my head off the pillow at the moment.

Iv got bad foggy brain. Your first period after lap is the worst hun don't worry just rest rest rest drink plenty and eat good. Even if it's soup. You are going to hurt and your body is repairing I itself naturally your going to feel like a bus has hit you. It's normal hun xx

Yes but it passes, you just feel fed up and tired out. I felt getting up and doing things helped massively, as long as your able. I cracked on with housework and things, my recovery was exceptionally quick. By 5th day I was off pain relief but it depends on you and what you feel capable of doing. Some people take a lot longer to recover, all the chemicals that were used, the anaesthetic, gas, it all has an effect and it takes a few weeks to get out of your body. Occasionally now a month n half after lap I get an ache where endo was removed from - I think it’s something we just have to deal with unfortunately :( x
