Hello to you dear. How are you my friend? I hope everything is fine for you... Lets also hope together that things will get even better. From now on let pray that you will be living a life filled with happiness. I don't know much about the field which your talking about. I have had a laparoscopy done to me and I know it's not that pleasing. I am really sorry you had to go through this. Now keep in mind that I don't have any medical background or anything like that. I just am speaking as somebody who want's the best for you. You mentioned that this is the first day that you feel OK... I guess and that's just an assumption that your getting better. It's simple math, dont you think, you feel better = you are better. I know medicine is complex and sometimes it's not that simple! Yet chances are that you are getting better by the minute. Wish you happiness dear, and may Gog bless you with health!
Hi, I had a diagnostic lap and went back to work after a week and half. To be honest i think it was abit too soon. If you have a job that it quite physical I would recommend taking abit longer.
It all depends on how you feel yourself and the type of job.
I would say, from personal experience, it's too soon. Even if you're beginning to feel ok, you're going to get tired so quickly. I went back after a week and a half but once I was back at work I realised it was too soon and ended up just doing half days for the rest of the week. By the weekend i was exhausted. If you're feeling tired after a quick trip to the shops, I think you still need some more time off.
Don't push yourself to go back if you're not ready. Good luck xxx
Thanks all. I'm going to call the hospital and get a sick note. They offered me one for 2 weeks but I naively thought I'd be ok by now.
I'm ok just sore. Plus I've now got a cough... which really isn't fun right now!
When I had mine, I went to doctor for a sick note for work as I had been admitted in suddenly with stomach pain to point I couldn’t move from foetal position, I was sweating and throwing up, so I ended up in hospital for a week and they put me in for a laparoscopy as they thought maybe appendix this is when they found I was covered in endometriosis. The doctor immediately signed me off for 3 weeks, and even days I’d think to myself I think I’m ok now like they above posts say I’d be falling asleep in the afternoons and just be zapped of energy! Cause your body’s still repairing on the inside. So take your time, ease yourself back in speak to your employer see if they can reduce your hours. Look after yourself 🙂
I was in overnight with minor complications after my diagnostic , then developed post op fatigue and took five weeks to go back to work. We all heal in our own time.
