Hi there so I've been suffering with endometriosis for 2 and half years since i got sterilised. It got diagnosed in March this year and I had my tubes removed while they treated the endometriosis. I have since had the Mirena coil in may and had no relief of pain what so ever. I decided to go back on he prostap injections that I have had previously. I now want my coil removed I'm nearly in my 5th month of the coil and nothings changed. I know the prostap worked previously on its own so I want my coil out. My dr kept telling me last week to keep it in as it works well with the prostap. I've not had a job in 9 month and can't get out and do things with my son. I want to have pain free days.
I'm at the Dr's at 5 his evening and I'm going to tell her to take it out. As clearly it's not suitable for me

Hi, sorry to hear you are suffering. I had a nightmare with the coil, worst thing I ever did. I hope your gp removes it for you but you can also go to sexual health clinics as a walk in and they will remove it for you there and then.
5 months is a good run and long enough. I had mine out then too due to daily pelvic pain. It's a shame as it had stopped my periods but overall the problem was still as bad.
Thasks guys. I guess it's just one of them things where I just needed some people to agree with me that I'm doing everything correct. And like you've said 5 months is a good run. And I've only had 1 pain free day. Hopefully the injections will work the same as 1st time. Xxx I'm at the doctors now just waiting. Xxx
