I was due to have it replaced on the 21st of August 2017 just to find out it's got lost in side me I'm so worried about it as I've got 4 children all ready . So I'm not planning on anymore it's the thought of not knowing whats goin to happen to me as iv got to wait for a scan to find out where it is .i wish i didn't bother havein put in now πππππ

Hi, mine got lost too and i didn't even notice. I believe what has usually happened is that it's simply out of position, i.e. the threads are no longer coming through the cervix. I had a hysteroscopy and they fished it out, putting in a new one at the same time.
If it has traveled further, I think you'd be in a lot of pain. If that happens you should go to A&E, but I believe it's rare.
Try not to worry, it may well not be serious. The Mirena shows up in an ultrasound so they will be able to tell you its position.
