Hi I had the coil fitted about 2minths ago to help stop painfully and heavy periods, I've been back to my gp twice and she won't take it out saying it's my body getting use to it, had my period yesterday and the pain today I though I would need an ambulance, I'm on strong painkillers which are not helping

Can you go back to the surgery and see a different GP? They cannot insist that you keep it. Your body, your choice. If this particular GP is being difficult it might also be worth making a complaint.

Yes, it's your choice. A family planning centre might be another option.

They cannot make you keep it in !

Make a complaint in writing to the practice partner and get another GP to do it.
