It's 5 days after my lap and I still have an intense pain in my shoulders (mostly on the left) and left side of my diaphragm. How long did this last for everyone? I'm starting to worry a little, I only remember a couple days of pain with my last lap (6 years ago)

Hi there,

It's very likely a little trapped gas.It can be very uncomfortable I really sympathise...I'm 20 days post robotic hysterectomy and the gas they fill you with is difficult to shift but,it will happen...Movement obviously helps and peppermint tea also!

I had exactly the same and 6-10 days later it was almost gone...

Hang in there it gets better.

Wishing you well,Clare

Thank you, I only read about it lasting around 72 hours so was confused as to why it was lasting so long!

I find it gets worse when I'm sat up and moving around! But I know I have to! Thank you.
