I have Interstitial Cystitis, am currently on Oxybutynin 5mg twice a day (this one stops u sweating and dry mouth), Propiverine Hydrochloride (once a day), Imipramine (once a day at night) and Trimethoprim which is an antibiotic. The antibiotic is because I have bladder installations of Cystistat every 4 weeks. Before I was diagnosed I was on Vesicare which stopped working after 4 months, then put on Betmiga which never really worked. Once diagnosed by cystoscopy I was put on all the other meds. It seems there are quite a few drugs available but it takes trial and effort to see what works for you.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried two other tablets but didn't help. Think I will just have to put up with the side effects of my mouth as it stops the bladder problems.

I know how you feel. I find chewing gum helps, also keeps the dentist happy.

Ha ha yes I chew that too.

I had this and it's what triggered my endo diagnosis.

I have managed to control it with anti histamines plus stopping all shower toiletries,(due to SLES and SLS skin irritants) plus moving to organic towels ( parabens and dioxins) and a period taking raw manuka honey and Echinacea drops.

But it sounds like you have it much worse. Hope you find a system that works for you.
