Hi. Juts wondering if anyone has tried the "endo diet" does it help? I'm finding lately that I'm feeling very very tired, I know this is common with being in pain the majority of the time. Wondering whether to try the diet or maybe supplements?
Thanks

For the past couple of months I've eaten cruciferous vegetables three times a week (from maybe once a week...) and taken turmeric capsules daily. I've also swapped cow's milk for unsweetened almond milk. I have found that my period is now lighter and less painful. It may be coincidence but I'm sticking to it for now just in case! I also take omega 3 capsules and multivitamins daily and try to eat as little sugar as I can. Generally I eat lots of the endo diet, like tomatoes, already. Tbh if I eat a lot of sugar and fatty food, I do think it affects my period for the worse.
Hi Natalie. Thank you for replying. Yes I think I will try some changes as my diet at the min is probably really bad 🙈 I hope you continue to get some relief x
M&S gluten-free bread is considered the best out there. Tastes like normal bread. Tesco does an excellent range of Free From foods so that covers pasta etc. They also offer reasonably-priced organic vegetables and meat (and organic butter - the one thing I can't give up). I really recommend their store for the endo. diet. If you struggle to give up sugar, try a brown sugar/stevia mix which you can get at Tesco, too. You won't feel like you're missing anything as long as you have suitable substitutes as per above.
For supplements, I take the following:
- Nordic Naturals fish oil capsules (Ultimate Omega)
- Pharma Nord Multivitamin & Minerals
- Pharma Nord Selenium & Zinc (to heal scar tissue)
- Pharma Nord MSM silica
- Probiotic (go for one with at least a billion cultures) to bolster your immune system
Thank you!! So helpful! I was so bad last night I could barely walk 😕 fatigue is awful. I'm blessed with children so it's really not good when all I want to do is sleep. I am going supplement shopping and food shopping today. I am determined to get on top of this. Thank you for your advice x
I was like that. I couldn't move some days. It was awful. I really hope you're pain free soon.
I forgot to mention the milk substitute: coconut milk or almond milk. Go for unsweetened.
Also, check out Kimberley Snyder's glowing green smoothie recipe. It makes the body more alkaline which lowers inflammation. You'll need to use organic produce for the smoothies or the chemicals will make matters worse.
It worked for me, though I'm still able to eat things with gluten that doesn't come from wheat, flour etc. Literally from one month to the other the pains and trouble I had had for 17 years were close to gone.
I don't want to make this sound like a miracle, as I understand it may not work for all. It did however work in my case (which is good enough for me, I'll take it!), so I will 100% recommend that you to give it a try. Be aware though to read every single label, even if you think there's no way that food would contain wheat, gluten etc., just check again. You'll also find that it often says somewhere else and not listed as ingredients "may contain wheat, gluten..."
