Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a book that is a diet intended to help with endometriosis but is also vegan. I'm struggling to find a source that shows a diet for both those things. Apparently soya is the enemy and now being vegan I eat so so much of that. Also too many carbs. Any advice would be great as determined to try and start fighting it naturally after having a dependency on codeine and I'm just starting to struggle keeping up motivation/hope again x

Endo and vegan diet
Hello! There is the Fodmap diet. I do not recommend the keto diet unless you also have seizures. Ask your doctor for a referral to a dietitian or nutritionist. My advice is to limit caffeine and alcohol.
I'm new to this but I recommend the FODMAP diet there's a short video on here about it. There's also links to websites and lots of info on internet about it too.
Hello there.
I went to plant-based after I read of how it helped many people cure inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. I downloaded 2 books on kindle:
1- Plant-based for beginners by Gabriel Miller
2 - The beginners guide to a plant -based diet by Brandon Hearn.
Plant-based foods are basically vegan as they are all centred around mostly plant foods with no animal products. Some choose to have a little dairy/fish/meat every now and then whilst on this diet but most don't. I would consider myself 'vegan' but I think vegans eat better than me! I can't have gluten/soy/caffeine/sugar due to them being highly inflammatory.
I stopped gluten/sugars/meat/ dairy/ soy/caffeine now and so all i was left with was really the plant-based diet.
I have noticed an improvement in my pain levels after just being on it 2 months. Although i still feel the pain i am not bed ridden or wrapped in hot water bottles all day or walking crouched like i used to be. So it has definitely helped! I continue to see improvements day by day,
I highly recommend these books. Recipes are well written and delicious.
Hope it helps

Hi,
Coming from being vegan/veggie for a good few years just wanted to say make sure that you supplement on vit b1, b6 b12 and Iron. I did some extensive damage to my levels and really struggling to get the levels back to normal for over 1 year now.
Hope this helps!
Endo is lack of folic acid. Misunderstood by a medical research, just like covid. Load up on it everyday, 400-800 mg, and come testify right here. I am that testimony today, pain free period. Been a sufferer for more than 10 yrs.
Thanks. Had the folic acid test done and seems the level are normal. How did you determine the dosage?
Thanks so much all for the tips will deffo look up the books, folic acid and FODMAP xx
Hi. There are some books that have been written by endo warriors, specifically about diet and recipes :1. Heal endometriosis naturally by Wendy K. Laidlaw and another book by Carolyn Levett called
Recipes & Diet advice for endometriosis. They both offer excellent explanations, tips, natural remedies that can be used alongside the normal medical treatment.
Because I was left with no explanation after the word endometriosis was mentioned no medical support, advice, treatment in January 2019, (lap in September 2018 but still don't know what he did at surgery), I was feeling so unwell, finally on the advice of fellow endo warriors, I put myself on an exclusion anti inflammatory diet since May 2019 and this is how I have managed to control, reduce the pain and flare ups. My diet is free from : gluten, dairy, soya (major culprit to be avoided at all costs), chocolate (contains both milk and soya), caffeine (feeds the oestrogen), dry beans, apples, tomato purée, hot spices. I supplement with magnesium glycenate, Vitamin D, zinc, iron, B9, folic acid. My diet does not have a label. I still have meat, although in reduced quantities, red meat affects endo sufferrers. Because I have associated IBS-D, repeated cystitis, I have had to adopt a diet that suits my needs, we are all different.
Instead, I have plant milk (but no soya), gluten free bread, pasta, cakes, flour, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, quinoa, vegs, vegan chocolate, decaff coffee, pizza made with puff pastry. . I have always been tea total as I badly react to it.
It’s not always easy and sometimes, I try the 'normal' food at my own perils. However, we have included my diet in the family meals, like for instance, if I cook spag bol, I will cook separately gluten free spagh and will have the meat already enriched /bulked up with quite a lot of veg. It's not as limiyative as it first sounds, it's finding a way around.
The book by Wendy K. Laidlaw is particularly interesting.
Hope you find what suits you best. x
Sorry for typo, its meant to read 'limitative'.
My diet is amalgamated into the family meals so as to reduce /avoid the stress and psychological impact of being 'different' from everyone else, it's hard enough as it is! 🙄😊
