Sounds interesting, may have to look into this. I have had two lots of surgery now, and now suffer lots of pelvic area pain. I think some is due to the scar tissue, and some down to Endo. Never heard of this, but will certainly be looking into it. All the best.x

I have read it can help stretch scar tissue. I have just come back from the hospital this morning at the Endometriosis clinic but they still don't know whats causing my pain after numerous tests and a lap. but i still it must be Endo. or scar tissue bits that have been missed its the only thing that fits the symptoms i have been having. Although it doesn't get rid of the scar tissue or Endo. i have heard a few people say it helped with their pain. I am going to see a private one but its really expensive.

Do you have to have a Doctor's referral, or can you just look them up and book your own?

If you want to go through nhs you have to have referal though some gps do self referal now for physio. but not sure if that applies to pelvic therapy. If you want to go private you can just book one. I rang about 3 and picked the one i thought seemed to be more confident to help.

Hiya, I had my first appointment with a pelvic pain physio last week. I'm not going to lie, some of it did hurt. She felt along my stomach and pelvis area and said she could feel something hard. I also have a misaligned pelvis (I already knew this) so for my first appointment she spent time trying to loosen my shoulders, pelvis and legs. She said it may take a few appointments and can make any symptoms worse. I'll maybe go back and see her in a few weeks as it wasn't cheap! x

I know the price i couldn't believe it £70. I nearly fell through the floor so i think i will have to ration my visits but i am desperate i will try anything. When she said can make things worse did she mean long term ?. I don't mind short term pain but worried i will be on agony after .

No she said it would be short term. The worst pain during the physio was on my lower back, I thought she was about to push me off the bed! She told me that to her eye it looks like my belly button is being pulled by something and when she felt my stomach she was able to pinpoint exactly where my pain is located without me telling her. At least if you try it and feel no benefits you don't need to go back but she did say it could take a few appointments. x

As physios are good with nerve pathways etc. I am hoping she will be able to give me some light as to where my pain is orinating from. Do you have Endo. and scar tissue ?.

Fingers crossed for you. No, my doctor had thought I may have had endo but I had a lap at the beginning of May and nothing was found so I decided to try the physio to see if she could maybe give me a different perspective. x

Hi I had this from a specialist Endo physiology attached to the Endo centre bgse. If worked well for me as I had chronic pelvic pain daily. I took a couple of treatments before helping as I was given exercises to do st home I had to take premature baby steps as it aggravated my wooziness and dizziness so I did they last thing at night. I still do them now. They also check your spinal and pelvic alignment. Definitely try it👍

Hi it took a few treatments but it didn't leave me in agony I took it really slowly to not aggravate my symptoms. It was a year ago that I first saw them. They did a thorough exam of my alignment pelvis and how I moved. I had it on the NHS so it was free. C

Hi had about 6 sessions and was given a sheet with exercises on with stick people which helped. It helped some of the pain, not the stabbing ovary ut the general daily pelvic. But I was also put on cerezzete then zolodex which has taken away most of the pain but it's creeping back again, not the pelvic but all the other as I'm now only on paracetamol.bits worth a try. X

I gt it on the nhs so free. Plates made me worse, would exhaust me for a week after. I do gentle hip flexor stretches, loer abdomen and inner thigh, squeeze your bum and pull tummy in as slide down then up a wall - this I couldn't do due to my balance problems so I squeeze a ball between my knees instead. Hi there, I've don pelvic therapy and I didn't find it helped very much. I had a laporocopy last Sept. and I found that helped more although I still get some pain monthly it's not as bad as it used to be. I got through my monthly last month on just two advil instead of two advil every four hours. I've also cleaned my diet drastically. No red meat, alcohol, or carbs and I'm exercising more but not the week that I'm on, the week before I'm due and during. I noticed quite a bit of an improvement. I hope this helps you.

What exercises do you do ?. I used to do Pilates but had to give it up but wondered if it would help. What did they do attge laparoscopy ?.

Hi ! I tried physiotherapy in private but i found her really good. I had some needling as well she could find some taut bands on tummy which might contribute to pelvic tightness. I went for 6 t 7 appointments but then its not cheap. Trying hard to concentrate on cleaning my diet with no gluten dairy products and exercise sometimes help me. Hope you get a better pain relief.

Did it stop your pain or help it ?.

I would say dear it does give symptomatic relief. Lower pelvic pain much better not sure if its endo or vaginismis. Upper pelvic she suggested needling but i could not continue. Following up with my gynae though. I have now back pain rather.
