Scared about Laparoscopy on Friday 31st.

I am scared about having a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy as well as maybe putting a mirena coil in.

Has anyone else had the same done?

I am also petrified that i will wake up after the op to be told that they've found nothing. What will be the next step and what if they tell me that all of the pain was really my mind playing tricks on me?

Don't worry if that happens then at least you can rule something out there's lots of reasons for pelvic pain the more things you can rule out the better. Good luck for your lap try not to worry at all and just concentrate on resting before I know it's easily said but nothing you can do apart from look after yourself and get some peppermint tea ready and some cozy clothes .

We all feel like it's in our heads sometimes but it's not ,we wouldn't chose this pain and being poked around with it really unpleasant ,

I had exactly the same done in December try not to worry it's really not that bad. I was really worried never really had an op before. My pain had improved slightly leading up to the operation date so was scared of nothing being found. I actually came round to be told I have severe Endo!! Even if nothing was found it's worth getting things checked as we don't go through this pain for nothing. Good luck

That's helped knowing that even though your pain had improved they still found you had severe endo.
