5 Weeks Post Op Pain

I had excision surgery nearly 5 weeks ago now and unless I stay on the sofa I end up in quite a lot of pain, it takes very little to kick it off, is that 'normal' after this long? I'm so desperate to be up and about and when I do I end up in quite a lot of pain that pain relief isn't touching xx

Hi Kirstie. I've had endometriosis since age 16, I'm now 39. I've had 4 laparoscopies.. PLEASE go to the GYN as soon as possible. (Especially if you have a high temperature). You can possibly have an abcess that formed, and/or an infection inside. Bcuz it's inside, you wouldn't notice anything different on the small incisions..those should be healing well by this time. Although everyone is different with their pain and their tolerance to pain, in my opinion, you really should get checked at the Hospital Emergency Room. (I live in the US, so I'm not sure what that's called in the UK) But please, go get checked out. It's better to be safe than sorry. Good luck honey. Please keep me posted. Keeping you in my prayers <3
