Sciatica and endometriosis?

Hi guys.

So I've been off work all week with extremely bad stomach aches that some really strong painkillers can't take away and now having symptoms of sciatica right down my left leg and in my hip.

Anyone experience this before as well? And is it common for sciatica and endometriosis to be linked?

I'm not sure if it's sciatica but I alway get pain in my hips/back and down one or both of my legs when I have a bad flare up.

My back is usually bad anyway but gets a lot worse when my tummy is particularly bad!

I spoke with GP and they said it's usually sciatica if it's down the back of your leg but I've never had it before so was curious if it was maybe linked to endometriosis!

Perhaps it is a link then I've never bothered to ask them about it. That's rather interesting!

Yes there is a link. Endo on the uterosacral ligaments can refer pain to sciatic nerve.

There is definitely a link I Also get the same pain you describe! I got it Every cicle or during ovulation! I am sure it is part of endometriosis pain package! 😥 I guess not everybody get it because depend on where you have the abnormal endometrial tissue!
