Feeling sore :(

I don't know if anyone else suffers from this, but on the inside of my stomach/pelvis area feels very sore. My painkillers work most of the time, apart from when I'm on my period :/ I've not recently had an op so I'm not recovering, I just don't know why it feels sore. I can't wear jeans comfortably, my left side is swollen too

My periods always leave me feeling completely bruised, as if I've been kicked in the stomach. From what I understand it's due to inflammation caused when the endo tissue bleeds during your period. There shouldn't be blood in the pelvic cavity, and the normal tissues there react to it, which causes pain/swelling/inflammation. I am currently using a combination of mefenamic acid, diclofenac suppositories and cocodamol during my periods to bring my pain down enough that I can manage it at home. Can you see your doc and see if there is anything they can do for you pain wise?

Oh my, that sounds awful for you :( before I went to to Dr's last week, I've been on all sorts of medication. but when I was on my period, I would suffer with excruciating cramps and sharp pains. He asked about the flow of my period ( flood ) so he put me on the contraception pill to calm them down, I started taking it on the 1st day of my period and I haven't had any cramps but I'm still getting the sharp pains and soreness :/ I'm still on all the other painkillers too

Birth control can sometimes aggravate the pain, if it contains estrogen it might just do the opposite of what you want it to, you see endo feeds off of estrogen and the combined pill introduces more estrogen which makes it grow, which could be causing your pain.

Go back to the doctor and ask for a progesterone only pill known as the mini pill.

It contains oestrogen, ethinylestradiol and a progestogen, levonorgestrel in a low dose

Oestrogen feeds endo the most, talk to your doctor about a progesterone only pill.
