It's been a while..

Not only has it been a while since I last posted, but it's also been a while since I last had a period..

As you will see from past posts, I had a zoladex injection in January that had a bad effect reaction with me as I'm only 19 and you can't have it until 23.

I've not had a period since last December now and I'm suffering awful hot flushe STILL. I had a bloody test 6 weeks ago and a hormone level will also low, and I'm having another one done to check it in a couple of weeks.

I'm just so confused and upset because most people think it's great I've not had a period, but I know it means something is wrong when it's been 10 months. The doctors are only just touching me about it though because they won't unless it's been a year. I just want a normal period 😪 One where it lasts 3-5 days like an average woman so it's not endo crazy but I know nothing is wrong 😩😩

Same here Chloe! Had my last prostap in March, my operation in June but still no period. It's bizarre but it becomes a bit of an obsession! The hot flushes and sweats are the worst. Can't remember my last full nights sleep and it can be embarrassing at work. Some mornings I can hardly get it off bed.

If I remember you seen the same consultant as me. Have you been treated/operated on yet?xx

Yeah. If you read my previous posts this time last year I was in and it of A&E and had a lap done. I had the zolodex as a part of my post op and that was on January and that was my first and last one but I'm still suffering.

Sorry to hear you're going through that Hun xxx

Did they find endo on your ovaries?

I'm asking because I haven't had a lap yet but for the first time in years they found my missing ovary during ultrasound and my cycles were getting longer and longer in the past year, I went from 26 days to 32 and my FSH was high which was showing I was having issues ovulating.

I know it's hard to push the doctors but try going on a progesterone only pill for a few weeks they sometimes work to get you to menstraute again.

I am having another blood test on the 4th to see if any levels have changed so I guess we will see what happens. I feel like all the stuff they've pumped into me has made it all worse to be honest so I'm skeptical about trying new things. They didn't tell me where they found it but I know there's some left behind my uterus xx

Also, don't be worried about your lap. I was so nervous but it's all good I promise xxx

I'm not worried I've been waiting for over 9 years for it. I just wish my dr listened to me on my first period.

HRT?

I'm 17 and I didn't do well on estrogen of any kind, the combined pill made my cycle longer formonths after I went off.

You could try evening primrose oil, I've never tried to before but I've heard it calms down symptoms of menopause.

Are you under a bsge specialist centre, if you gave endo left you need another laparoscopy a a thorough excision job done by a specialist,

Ask for a copy of your theatre notes, they will tell you what they removed and what's left, did they tell you why they left endo behind, x

They have tried to tell me it doesn't matter that there's still some there. My surgeon told me she left some and then others told me he couldn't feel it when he did an internal. It's all so confusing x

It is complicated, but you need to be referred to a bsge specialist centre, read Lindles posts on how to get refferal, and pathways options ect,

It is certainly not ok if you have Endo left. Behind, you need to be seen by a specialist, please keep going untill you get the care you need and deserve x

I've been to Manchester and they disregarded me. I've wrote about it in previous posts x
