Post lap advice please

Hi I had a lap 4 days ago during which adeno and endo was found. Despite taking laxatives and only having paracetamol for pain relief I havnt been able to open my bowels. I'm extremely bloated and swollen and was wondering what I could do. Thanks

Best to get some movicol to help it along.

Increase fluid intake and mobilise. Dehydration and immobility can also cause constipation post op x

I havnt been immobile As I got straight up after surgery and carried on as normal (3kids lol) I think it may be the lack of fluids though I'll up my water intake to see if that helps Thankyou for the advice. X

wishing you a speedy recovery! I know how constipation feels like after op but I did take some laxatives to help me with it. Initially only a tiny bit came out but it does get back to normal quickly. I am just wondering, did your cystoscopy reveal anything?

Hi, as far as I'm aware the cystoscopy was normal. My bladder was fine. I think the bladder symptoms I experience are due to the adeno with my uterus being enlarged and causing frequent and painful urination. A lot of ladies on these forums find after hysterectomy their bladder issues are resolved.
