Abdominal skin colour change...

I've noticed a 'motteld effect' to my skin on the lower left of my tummy - very much next to the public bone and around the hip area, which is where I get a lot of pain. I thought it might be due to my near constant use of my hot water bottle, and have managed 12 hours without needing it and it's still the same. Has anyone experienced/heard of this before?

Yes it can be the hit water bottle, it sounds like mild burns, try a good Aloe Vera gel on it, x

Hi there, it's definitely from your hot water bottle! I had the same on my upper legs and went to the doctors. I used a hot water bottle every day, even at my desk in work, I loved it when the water was really hot as it helped with my pains. The old term for it is 'grannies apron'. It's from where your hot water is too hot and your skin and the blood vessel expand and can get damaged if you don't stop. Please try to let the kettle cool a little first or wrap your hot water bottle in something. If you persistently do it it can cause irreversible damage and lead to other nasty problems....please google it. It was so hard as I needed my hot water bottle every day but I've tried to stop using it, it's been 4 months now and my mottled pattern has faded but is still there. Endo sucks!!! Even the one thing that gave me comfort caused a problem xxx
