I had a scan yesterday due to a lump I have in my lower left abdomen, the doctor performing the scan said he’s pretty confident that it’s an endometrioma and he’ll pass the results onto my consultant. Has anyone else had this before and knows what the next step will be? Thanks xx

Endometrioma in abdominal wall
Yes, found one on each ovary six months after TAH. They removed my ovaries. You may be able to save one.
Mines not on my ovary it’s in my abdominal wall, I have a lump I can feel on my stomach
Yes, I had an endometrioma removed from the edge of my c-section scar. The procedure itself was really straightforward.
However in may case it was done by a general gynae, who I feel was quite nonchalant about it, they'd just whip it out and that would be that. It transpires that they did not get it all, I was re-referred to a specialist and had an MRI which showed that it is more widespread in my scar and I have some adhesions that need dealing with. I am now awaiting a lap done by a specialist.
Sorry if this seems scary, I don't mean to alarm you. Just be aware that they really need to make sure that they get it all!
Good luck! x
Hi, how did you get on with your lump? I've recently had an mri which showed a large endometrioma on my c section scar. I have an appointment with my consultant Tuesday to discuss the plan x
Hi! I had Endometrioma in abdominal muscle. Took me three years of nagging my gp I knew something was wrong. It was another endo forum which made me go back to the Drs. They then listened, sent back to Gynaecologist and mri found it. A whole weight was lifted. They used the previous c section scar to remove the lump. I was ok until seven months ago and it’s back. Consultant said he won’t do anymore surgery as it’s causing too much scar tissue and the section scar has been opened up three times for c sections too. I hope all is good with you, sending lots of love
I’m glad you’ve got the results and a weight has probably been lifted also. The first barrier is actually getting the dr to believe there’s something wrong. Hope all goes well and when you have surgery, don’t over do it. Let me know how you get on
