Does anyone have any experiences with using the pill to help with pain.

Hi - Following surgery in April I am still experiencing quite a lot of pain. I have started acupuncture which appears to be helping. At a follow-up appt last week my consultant has suggested I start to take a combined pill - he mentioned Loestrin 20 or Gestodene.... Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jo,

For years I've taken the pill (usually tricycling by taking 3 packs back to back) & have found that, generally, it helped me in terms of lessening period pain, as well as making periods shorter & lighter.

Hope this is helpful x

I couldn't be without my combined pill, in taking microgynon 30 and I have breaks inbetween. The consultant recommended that I could take 3 packs in a row but I have additional complications when I did that. I have really light periods, no pain and they only last for 3 days.
