I have to say your all really incredibly brave and inspiring women. This is my first post and its so great to read about all of your different coping strategies and to know I'm not the only one going through this.
My pain all started 3half yrs ago with upper right abdomen pain which turned out to be gall stones that resulted in a very complicated 5hr surgey and a 5 day stay in hospital where I had a second procedure an diagnoses of gastroenteritis followed by my now ongoing condition of chronic gastritis (damaged gut lining pain on upper left side of abdomen) to add to this I have severe IBS diagnosed at 2yrs old which i had an operation back in the 80s to try and help which has made no difference throughout my life.
9mths ago I had my first lap and was diagnosed with endo stage 1, I now have a vit d defficancy and anemia aswell as bone and joint pains (under investigation for arthritis) plus a recent diagnoses of duodentorisis (inflamation of small intestine) due to have seconed colonoscopy to find out how far its spread. it feels like im on a never ending roll coaster of new diagnosis's, tests and surgeries not exactly how I pictured life at 32, I'm under 6 different medical hospital teams (for all different things) and have more neccassary medication to swallow in a day than what would seem like food!
I'd really got to the point where I wanted to give up! Until now, just finding this site and reading how you all support each other and know exactly what each other is going through has given me hope and makes me feel not so alone anymore!
I live in surrey and was wondering if anyone new of any support groups available around the Kingston upon thames area? Would be really greatful for any information.
