However from what I have read about it, this is not a treatment. It will only mask the symptoms. There is an article by Lidle you should read about treatments. And from it I understand the only treatment is to have endo excised. I am assuming it is endo you are asking about?
I had a temporary menopause (6months) by taking prostap and hrt from September 2015 - Feb 2016. All my symptoms (pain, bowel symptoms, painful intercourse etc) disappeared. I had a really good six months then about six weeks after treatment stopped my pain came back with a vengeance. Back to severe pelvic and abdominal pain, severe diarrhoea, fatigue etc. Basically all the endo problems came right back. The same thing happened after treatment with zoladex several years ago. Back to gyne in a week 😩 Whilst I felt great on treatment it is not a long term option. Worth a try to get temporary relief xxx
See the mini pill helped my symptoms a lot so I'm kinda thinking a lap then the coil fitted but it all depends on what the gynea says I suppose
I've had three temp menopause treatments over the years. I found they relieved my symptoms for a year or so, which came back gradually, and I was back to the doctor within two years each time. I had hormone replacement for the first one,but stopped taking it at 3 months as it didn't suit me. The next two treatments I did without and didn't find the symptoms unbearable. Better than with hrt! It's not a cure, but it does knock it back for a bit, and since after my last surgery, I was told that they couldn't remove mine surgically as it was too far gone, it was the best I could do. They'll only do 3 rounds of artificial menopause in the UK.
