How long do you leave the dressings on for?

Hi everyone. I had my lap yesterday and have 3 small dressings covering the incisions. How long should I leave them on? I was thinking of showering later today so could try to remove them then but that feels a bit quick and I don't want them to get infected. Thanks

I left mine on for 24 hours.

When you have a shower remember to pat them dry gently, and if possible put new dressings on at night as I found the stitches can catch on clothing. Look on the NHS website if your unsure of wound dressings xx

they are.most likely the waterproof ones? i left mine on for couple of days then got nosey lol. i cleaned the areas with saline and cotton swab after my shower. cleaned up nice. then i redressed them for couple more days. its really up to you and how you feel. if you are wearing pants/shorts/skirt.. might pay to dress them.
