Painful period after a laparoscopy

Hi I had a laparoscopy  a week ago and now I have started my period the pain is sooooo severe is this normal ?

Hi Hun it's not unusual. It can take a few months to settle down. Hope you're doing ok other than that.

I've had 2 periods since my laparoscopy in Jan and they have both been very painful. The period just gone I had 3 days of random sickness and my stomach was really swollen to the point I looked like I was pregnant

I had my period about three weeks after the lap. I panicked with the first sign of pain and stuffed myself with painkillers from the hospital.

It was pretty heavy flow for about a week and about 10 days of brown discharge afterwards.
