Painful endometrioma

I had a scan last week which showed a 8cmx6cm endometrioma cyst on my right ovary. I'm in a lot of pain with it, particularly at night. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced intense pain with an endometrioma cyst? I've had them previously without pain so this is very different X

Hi I had a 11cm one on my left ovary which caused a lot of pain . It would also leak sometimes.

When I had a large endometrioma I could feel it and it was uncomfortable, and when it ruptured I had a lot of pain. So I think it's definitely possible for them to cause pain, and with endometriosis in general it seems like kind of a mystery why sometimes it's painful and sometimes it isn't (and pain isn't always correlated with the severity of it). However, if you're concerned that something could be wrong in addition to the endometrioma, I'd encourage you to bring it up with your doctor.

Mine is about the same size and causes me pain. It flares up occasionally and then I'm in agony x
