Pre op

Hi ladies,

I went for my pre op appointment last week, I was positive for a urine infection, I have been in so much pain I didn't even realise. Also got to have my bloods taken again as it isn't what it should be for liver function test? Has anyone else had anything like that?

Hi, yes I was diagnosed with a urine infection a couple of days before my lap - I was really worried they would cancel it but gynae was happy to go ahead and gave me IV antibiotics while I was under and a 5 day course afterwards. As I have had pain during and after urinating for a few months I didn't even realise! Been to doctors this morning as they were concerned about blood in my urine last week but all clear today so probably just from the infection. 1 more urine sample next week just to double check all OK! I still have pain at end of urination and after so if this carries on I will need more investigation!! Hope all your bloods are OK when retested xxx
