Hello lovely ladies hope you are ok.i have been diagnosed with endio and I have it on my bowel. Having the menopause injections, also on HRT. Has anyone tried the diet. It's my understanding you cut out dairy, wheat, sugar and alcohol. Just wondered if my symptoms might improve.
Would welcome and appreciate any help

Boo boo thank you so much for your reply, I was only diagnosed 3rd December this year after my laparoscooy, so it's all new to me. I would like to help myself where I can because I have endio growing on my bowel. I appreciate your advice and will try the diet. Take care sweetie x
Hey! Well, all I can tell you is changing my diet has worked wonders for me. I had a Lap back in May when I was diagnosed having had 2 admissions to hospital with severe pain the previous 6 months earlier. After my diagnosis I did all the research I could and stumbled upon the suggestion that your diet can affect things. I then purchased a book by Henerietta Norton and followed a number of her suggestions over the past 6 months and my symptons have improved greatly. I'm almost pain free! My biggest issue at the moment is fatigue so I'm looking into herbal options for improving tiredness.
Obviously, it's no guarantee but the way I saw it when I started out on my endo diet was that I didn't have anything to lose. I've been a bit naughty over Xmas and indulged in sweet treats and alcohol and can feel the pain reoccurring today which is too much of co-incidence so I'm back on my fruit, eggs, water and peppermint tea today and will get back on top of it.
Hope this helps and that, if you start it, the endo diet has a positive impact on your life too.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for telling me about henrietta nortons book it's brilliant. Enlightened me to a lot of my symptoms I didn't realise was connected to my endio. Started the diet on Monday and I am confident that it will help. I am starting back doing some exercise at the leisure centre on Monday, after my lap on 3rd december 2015. Going to take my time though. How is your endio at the moment, I really hope you are well my lovely.
Hello Janet, that was a lovely message to get this Sunday morning-thank you!
I am so pleased to hear you have already found the benefits of just reading the book. When I read it, it made me think Henrietta had just wrote it for me it was so accurate!
My health is still going great thank you. Main symptom is still the tiredness so I've got some herbs as per suggested in the book. I've only been taking them a few days so I'm hoping I will start to feel more energised soon. But I know I'm lucky compared to lots of lovely women on this site and tiredness is not the end of the world. I too am going to start exercising shortly. I think I need to get started with something. My endo has made me hesitant but I think it will do me good.
Good luck with your continued journey and really hope the diet works for you as it does for me.
Louise thank you so much for your reply. It really sounds like the diet could work for me too. I have endio growing on my bowel, so I will do anything to help myself. I have ordered the book on amazon so thank you for telling me about that much appreciated. I was only diagnosed 3rd december this year, so it's all very new to me. I have received so much help from this site from all you lovely ladies, I don't feel quite so alone.
I don't want to disregard the endo diet if women have found that it works for them but I had my follow up app with doc today and asked the same q- she told me there's nothing that I should/not be avoiding or eating. Just told me to have a normal healthy diet. I was surprised myself but she seemed quite sure!x
Hiya Angiepie, yep, I wasn't advised about my diet by a doctor either. I actually stumbled across it and found the information on this forum from someone who had also purchased the book I previously mentioned. When you read the book there's lots of information on how your liver processes everything we eat, the better we eat better for you and your internal health. All I can say is it has worked for me. Thankfully. I fully appreciate that endo is different for every woman and like the book says nothing it guaranteed to work but the suggestions made are based on informed research and results from other women. I do think there is a general lack of knowledge amongst gp's and even some hospital consultants so perhaps not always given the full picture by them.
And HarryHonda25...delighted my reply helped you in some way. You're definitely not alone on this journey. I too have it on my bowel so hopefully you're symptons will ease too. Any other questions then feel free to drop me a line. Best wishes for your good health.
