Finally pain free

A poster has just emailed me about the total peritoneal surgery I had last year. I haven't been on here in a while and it prompted me to look at my previous posts. All that pain I was in and misery is still there, written in black and white...it brought tears to my eyes. For the last 12 months I have been totally pain free. I had stage 4 endo and it crippled my life. It was on my bladder, ureters, uterosacral ligaments, ovaries and Fallopian tubes. I had been infertile for 3 years. I had had failed excision surgeries so decided to bite the bullet and have TPE. Yes its invasive, yes it's not cheap but god it's saved my life. 6 months later I was pain free and pregnant with my baby girl who is now two months old. I feel amazing and I never thought I would see the day.

Happy ending x

What is tpe? A type of blood transfusion where they remove cells and add cells?

It is done to remove the peritoneal lining including both normal and abnormal tissue.
