I had my lap 2nd October and returned to work Sunday 18th October. Everyone is different and heals different, and it depends what your job is too. I think I was signed off for 2 weeks because I mentioned to the surgeon I work in a warehouse that was physically demanding. I felt somewhat back to normal a week and a half into my recovery time, still exhausted but able to function and move. I worked the Sunday and could definitely feel where I'd been poked about because it was rough after the first shift back, same as yesterday at work too. I am currently on amended duties at the minute too because the pain before the lap was bad enough without standing for 8 hours (the norm where I work.) So still sat down, but can definitely feel some soreness and throbbing.

Everyone is different but I was told 7-10 days recovery is what they recommend. But if your job is physically demanding definitely mention it to someone before the surgery. Good luck! :)
